The Swami Vivekanand Subharti University has been established at Meerut (NCR,Delhi) by an act of State Legislature under “The Swami Vivekanand Subharti University Uttar Pradesh Act 2008, (Act 29 of 2008) received the assent of the His Excellency Governor of Uttar Pradesh on September 04, 2008 by vide letter no. 2357/ Session-1-08-20 (5)/2007.
The University is honoured by the status of State University u/s 2f of UGC Act, 1956 and is empowered to award degrees as specified u/s 22 of the UGC Act, 1956.
